The president of the Chamber of Deputies, Sergio Massa, asked that students who
are in their last years of primary and secondary school
return to the classrooms to finish the school year in person.
"The boys of sixth grade and sixth year from all over the country should go back to school now," he remarked
He did it through a Zoom in which he argued that "we must allow them to close well to those who finish a cycle and go to a new stage of their life" and emphasized: "It should be imposed on all of us to make the effort."
"You have to make a protocol taking advantage of the spaces in schools of many students. If only one group is approached so that they finish and can close their cycle well, it should not be a problem," said Massa, according to a statement.
He also specified that the return of these courses
could be carried out with the use of mandatory chinstraps
and separating them into small groups of six students.
In this sense, he asked legislators and mayors to convey this idea to the governors and ministers of Education of their cities.
"There are different levels of severity and risk for children and we believe that we can implement social and school reengagement activities beyond not yet opening schools in a massive way," he said.
