for the week of September 28 to October 4, announced the health authorities during the weekly conference on the situation on the island.

While the territory went into the maximum alert zone on September 23 and restrictive measures were taken, the CHU continued to receive a strong influx of patients.

On Sunday, 35 people were hospitalized in intensive care because of the Covid-19.

During the same period,

"6 evacuations took place from Marie-Galante to the CHU of Guadeloupe, including 2 Covid"

, indicates the

press

release.

“Three non-Covid patients were transferred”

at the very beginning of the month

“to Martinique (2) and to France (1)”

.

However, in Guadeloupe, the indicators of the epidemic are decreasing.

While we exceeded the thousand cases identified per week, 734 cases were identified this week.

The incidence and positivity rates have declined very slightly compared to last week.

“The reproduction factor of the virus is less than 1, or 0.70, with a significant value.

It is encouraging but must be taken with precaution, the reproduction factor of the next week will come to confirm or not this tendency ”

, indicate the ARS and the prefecture.

It is for this reason that the measures decided upon during the passage of the territory on maximum alert remain

"in force until Tuesday, October 13,"

said Alexandre Rochatte, prefect of Guadeloupe.

With two reductions however: the restaurants, with a drastic sanitary protocol, will be able to remain open until midnight,

“from Wednesday morning”

.

And the sports halls which had lodged complaints before the summary judge were successful: the judge's decision indicates that individual practice can continue, even in closed rooms.
