Facebook today (Tuesday) removed a post published by US President Donald Trump, in which he wrote that the corona virus is less dangerous than the flu.

This is after the social network refrained for months from taking a stand in the posts of politicians.

Facebook spokesman Andy Stone confirmed the details and clarified that the network had indeed removed the publication claiming that it was "against the Pike-News rules on Cubid-19 issues".



Trump has admitted to contracting the virus, but appears to be continuing to downplay his dangers.

In a post he published today, he compared the virus to the flu.

The president even posted a similar tweet on Twitter, and while Facebook removed the post, Twitter was content to just post a message that the tweet violated company rules regarding the dissemination of misleading information related to the virus.

This is the second time Facebook has removed Trump posts, while Twitter has removed and censored quite a few of its posts.

Last August the two networks removed a Trump post that contained false allegations about the virus.

The post contained a video of the president during an interview with Fox News, during which he falsely claimed that "children are almost immune" from the virus.

Twitter alert in a Trump post

The president returned to the White House tonight after being hospitalized at Walter Reed Military Hospital following his coronation in Corona.

Upon his return, Trump removed the mask, urging citizens not to be afraid of the corona virus in which he infected himself, killing more than 209,000 Americans.



"Do not let him control you, do not be afraid of him," Trump said in the video after his release from the hospital.
