A 20-year-old man was stabbed to death last night (Tuesday) on Hazani Street in Be'er Sheva.

Another young man, his age, was seriously injured in the stabbings.

The two were evacuated after the injury to Soroka Hospital in the city for medical treatment, where the young man's death was determined.

Police opened an investigation and arrested several suspects involved in the incident.

According to MDA paramedic Ronen Drizak, he encountered a vehicle that was transporting the wounded during a trip to another patient, and calls for help were heard from it.

"They shouted at me from the vehicle that there were two wounded who needed urgent help," he said.

"I immediately reported to the MDA call center to launch another team for the incident I was on my way to and put the two wounded in an ambulance.

I performed quick medical tests to assess their condition which was difficult.

"With the help of another person who was with them in the vehicle, we stopped the life-threatening bleeding and I urgently evacuated them to the hospital," the medic added.

Upon receiving the report, the police began searches and the scene investigators (forensics) arrived.

Following an assessment of the situation carried out at the scene by the commander of the Negev region, Lt. Gen. Yair Hatzroni, the investigation was assigned to the Negev Central Unit.
