Mexico
Mexico is a country traversed by blood, violence and kidnappings.
Every day, millions of innocent Mexicans hear and see tragic news of deaths in which the drug cartels are almost always the main protagonists of a violence that seems to have no end.
What no one had imagined was waking up with a novelty as tragic as it was absurd: in the middle of a filming to upload to TikTok, a group of young people who
acted in a kidnapping
accidentally killed one of the actresses with a real gun that was loaded by mistake.
Areline Martínez,
21, lost her life after being
shot in the head
by one of her friends, while they were recording the video for TikTok, faking a kidnapping, on October 2 in Colonia Villa Juárez, south of La Chihuahua city.
The moments prior to the tragedy were filmed by Areline Martínez's friends.
Martínez, who along with a man
played the hostage role
, was being pointed at with various firearms.
According to witnesses, cited by various Mexican media outlets, "two of her friends accidentally fired a .45 caliber pistol."
After the event, one of the participants notified the authorities, but they all left the place and there are still no leads from them, according to reports from the State Attorney General's Office (FGE).
The same judicial unit reported that there are 10 people who are being searched and who have already been identified.
The alleged shooting men had escaped aboard a
white Jeep Cherokee pickup.
Images filmed before the fatal shot by one of the attendees appeared on social networks, which is replicated by the
