Kochel am See -

It was an unusual alert that reached the Kochler mountain rescue service around 7 p.m. search the region.

In the meantime, it was also possible to contact the 74-year-old by phone.

"We asked him to stay with his car and not run into the forest," reports Ritchi Huber, the deputy head of the Kochler mountain rescue service.

As it turned out, the man in the Altjoch district of Kochler had turned left into a forest road shortly before the power station, climbed the mountain and then got lost in the branches.

"We have systematically searched all possible routes," says Huber.

After 45 minutes, the volunteers discovered the vehicle and the driver at the height of the so-called Great Pond, about three kilometers from the power plant and at a height of 750 meters.

“The man was exhausted and at the end of his strength,” says Huber.

However, he was not injured.

After a medical check-up, the volunteers brought him back to the valley.

However, the vehicle could not retrieve them.

It was stuck.

Therefore, the Kochler fire brigade was alerted, which approached with two vehicles and five emergency services.

With the appropriate equipment, the members could pull the car out of the forest meadow and bring it into the valley.

The car was still roadworthy.

The 74-year-old gratefully accepted his car.

The man did not have to go to the hospital, but then stayed in Kochel.

When asked why he wanted to go to the moated castle, he said: "Because it is so nicely lit."
