Teacher Association President Simone Fleischmann denounces the teacher shortage in Bavaria.
In doing so, she contradicts Minister of Culture Michael Piazolo, who denies this.
School lessons in
Bavaria
are in crisis.
This is what the teacher association president claimed today in Munich.
She demands support from the Ministry of Culture.
Munich
- Bavaria's
teachers
are on the gums.
You could get this impression if you heard today's statement by the President of the
Bavarian Teachers' Association
(BLLV).
Simone Fleischmann
said on Wednesday (October 7th) in
Munich
that two
crises are
currently
colliding.
There is a dramatic
shortage of teachers
and the
Corona *
crisis has to
be overcome.
She also made a direct request to
Minister of Education Michael Piazolo
(FW).
Teacher Association President contradicts Minister of Education Piazolo
The new school year has only just started, but the situation is already precarious.
"We have never experienced such an emergency operation as now," said
Fleischmann
.
The
FSVO President identified
the
teacher shortage
as the main problem
.
Regular operation is out of the question at many schools.
Education Minister Piazolo
had already contradicted this accusation at the beginning of the school year.
There have never been as many
teachers
as there are now, writes br24.de.
Fleischmann
made it clear, however: “The
BLLV
contradicts the
Minister of Education
.
There have never been so many challenges.
(...) There have never been so many
teachers
who weren't there. "

For the
BLLV boss
, the real problem is not addressed.
But there is “peak over peak”.
From the digital summit to the school summit to the ventilation summit, what is good in itself is held, according to
Fleischmann
.
But there is no urgently needed teacher summit.
"
Everything is a show, everything is a world of appearance, for us everything is fooling around

BLLV President Fleischmann: There has been a shortage of teachers for a long time
The problem with the missing teachers is not new, according to
Fleischmann
.
The
teachers
have been always seen to it that this lack'll concealed.
Now this is no longer possible.
“The
minister of education
can no longer deny reality.
It is not enough to reject allegations, ”said the
FSVO president
plainly.
Then
Fleischmann
becomes
even clearer: “Yes, more classes will be canceled.
Not only because of Corona *, but also because of the
shortage
of
teachers
.
Many of us simply cannot anymore. "
There is emergency operation at the schools in Bavaria, the #teacher shortage is having an impact.

Fleischmann
also expressed
particular criticism of
the statement by the
Minister
of
Education, Piazolo
, that 99.5 percent of all school classes are in classroom instruction.
This statement would miss the reality.
Because, according to the
BLLV boss
, there is a duty of supervision.
Children should
not even be sent home
due to the lack of
teachers
.
"Why is it so damn difficult for the
minister of education
to say that we have a
shortage of teachers
?" Prime Minister
Markus Söder
(CSU) has at least admitted this.
Schweinfurt school principal supports the FSVO president
The headmaster of a middle school in Schweinfurt and
Vice-BLLV President
Tomi Neckov supports
Fleischmann
.
"That's why at the moment I just expect honesty from the state government and the admission that we have no regular operations at the schools at the moment," he said.
Neckov has particular concerns about the upcoming
flu season
.
"When the season starts and the
teachers
are also absent, then I don't know how I can keep things going."
