This source had previously told AFP that a confrontation was scheduled for Friday between Monique Olivier and Michel Fourniret, but it is actually a hearing of the ex-wife only, she corrected Wednesday.

Examining magistrate Sabine Khéris, who took over the conduct of this investigation in 2019, also planned a trip with the two ex-spouses on October 15 to Guermantes (Seine-et-Marne), where the girl from nine years on January 9, 2003, then in the Ardennes at the end of the month, according to this source close to the file.

At 78 years old, Michel Fourniret, whose convoluted statements and memory problems complicate the task of investigators, ended up confessing in March his responsibility in the Estelle Mouzin affair: "

In August, before the examining magistrate, Monique Olivier, who had already accused her ex-husband of the murder of the girl, had specified that he had kidnapped, raped and killed her in a house in Ville-sur- Lumes (Ardennes).

This house, which had belonged to Fourniret's late sister, as well as the castle of Sautou - a former property of the killer - were the subject of searches at the end of June by the investigators, who however did not allow to find the corpse. .

The serial killer, indicted in November for "

kidnapping and forcible confinement followed by death

" in this case, was heard again by the magistrate at the end of August, but nothing filtered out from this hearing.
