After half a year that IKEA's delivery service was inactive due to the closure and the Corona crisis, IKEA Israel announced today (Wednesday) that it is possible to place orders online through its shipping company's website, Shefa Online.

Now the site has returned to activity, but in part: it is not possible to order all the products of the popular brand, but it is only the transport of furniture products.

The Shefa Online website reads "Dear customers, as a result of the closure we will not charge a collection fee. Please note that online purchases of furniture products can only be made, without accessories and ornamental departments.

According to the website, the cost of transportation is a minimum of NIS 250 and 5% of the order value.

Assembly cost: 12% of the cost of the complex products and a minimum of NIS 250.

The site decided not to charge a service fee following the closure, which according to the company includes the "cost of collecting the products and packing them, if necessary, from the IKEA store" by the site's employees.

This cost is 7% of the purchase value and at least NIS 90 per order. "

It should be noted that raising products to the upper floor from the fourth floor or to each floor, when carriers do not have easy access through the stairwell or elevator, is the responsibility of the customer and at his expense.

The website reads "The products are collected in accordance with the inventory of the IKEA Beer Sheva branch only. We are unable to complete inventory from other branches."

Regarding the delivery time, it is written "Our commitment to complete the collection process from the moment we receive an order on the website is 10 business days. After collecting the products, our team will contact you to coordinate the delivery. Please note: "Delivery to remote areas such as the Golan Heights, the Jordan Valley, the Arava and Eilat up to 14 business days. The term" business days "refers to Sundays to Thursdays that are not holiday eves, holidays or the Sabbath."

IKEA was indeed among the first chains to be allowed to reopen its stores at the end of the first closure, which provoked outrage and public criticism.

However, the online service has not been renewed since.
