Russian health authorities recorded 3,229 new infections and 55 deaths in the capital, Moscow, during the past 24 hours.
The Coronavirus Operations Center in Moscow said in a statement, according to what Russia Today reported, that the high number of deaths from the Coronavirus in Moscow “represents a sharp jump” for this indicator on a daily basis, noting that the victims have been confirmed to have pneumonia and have undergone positive tests. They are infected with the Coronavirus.
The center indicated that the general death toll from the virus in the capital has so far reached 5497 people, compared to 5442 in the previous statistic, while the total number of infections reached 314,788, including 256,362 recoveries.
This toll is the largest since the middle of last June, and it indicates a tangible and continuous increase in the death index due to the Corona virus in Moscow, which recorded 27 cases in last Sunday’s statistics, and on Monday 31 and yesterday’s 41 statistic.
This comes while Russia, in general, faces a significant increase in indicators of the spread of the virus, as health authorities announced in today's data that they had recorded 11,115 infections and 202 deaths across the country.
