The system, which notably associates the Marseille court, the Bouches-du-Rhône police services, the Marseille hospital public assistance (AP-HM) and associations, aims to simplify the procedures.
Because it is "
essential to allow their support
" and "to
sanction
" the perpetrators of these facts, explained the prosecutor of Marseille Dominique Laurens, during a press conference.

Women often arrive in extremely precarious conditions in the hospital services which are the first to welcome their injuries, but also their words, and find themselves afterwards in a circuit which is sometimes extremely complex with multiple actors who will intervene
" a- she noted.
A victim received at La Timone hospital will thus be received by trained health professionals who "
will be able to offer a forensic examination allowing the initiation of legal proceedings, either support or complaint taking directly in a hospital environment. , or an appointment with social services,
”detailed Sylvia Breton, Deputy Director General of the AP-HM.

In 2019, 400 women were hospitalized at the AP-HM following domestic violence, among them 80 were not 18 years old, according to Sylvia Breton.

This protocol is part of the Grenelle on domestic violence.
When it opened in September 2019, the government announced the generalization of the filing of complaints at the hospital.
A year later, around thirty conventions would have been put in place, according to the Women's Foundation.
Each year, more than 210,000 women are victims of physical or sexual violence at the hands of their spouses.
