The investigation, which is "
classified as a priority
", is still "
in progress
" but the investigations "are
trampling a lot
", this source told AFP.
Member of the Stras Défense Facebook group - a collective which presents itself as apolitical and fights against street harassment - the student was heard "
twice
" by investigators but her statements were evasive, it was added.
Moreover, the use of CCTV images of the area at the time when the attack is supposed to have occurred gives "
nothing
", it was added, confirming information from BFMTV.
According to the channel, investigators have gone through more than 40 hours of video captured by 26 surveillance cameras, without finding any trace of the assault.
The regional daily
Les Dernieres Nouvelles d'Alsace
(DNA) claims for its part that neither the student nor her alleged attackers as she described them appear on the recordings.
Shadow areas
Another gray area, according to
DNA
: the mobile phone of the young woman would have been limited near her home at the time of the attack, which indicates that the device was at her home.
However, she told investigators that she was consulting him when she was assaulted, the newspaper notes.
The highly publicized affair broke out on September 22: in a video posted on the France Bleu Alsace website, the young woman, named Élisabeth, with her right eye swollen, claimed to have been insulted and hit in the face four days previously, at the beginning of the afternoon, by three young men accusing her of wearing a skirt.
The trio then fled, she said.

"
A call for witnesses was launched but no one answered it
", however, notes the source close to the case, who finds it "
surprising
".
The case had caused an uproar.
The next day, the Minister Delegate in charge of Citizenship, Marlène Schiappa, came to Strasbourg to announce the recruitment of 80
additional “
social workers
” to “
strengthen support
” for women victims of “
