Sweida-Sana
Today, the council of the town of Umm al-Zaytun in the countryside of Sweida began the first phase of the project to expand the craft area connecting to the industrial city of Umm al-Zaytoun.
In a statement to SANA correspondent, the head of Umm Al-Zaitoun town council, Qahtan Shalgain, indicated that the expansion includes expanding the road from 5 to 20 meters in length of 350 meters, and currently includes extending a base layer, to be followed in the coming days by laying asphalt shirts.
Shalgain pointed out that during the current period, the craft area is witnessing construction work for a number of divisions on the structure, after a group of works have been completed during the last period, including the internal water network, a collection center for sewage, the low voltage network and the administrative headquarters building.
The number of plots for the craft area in Umm Al-Zaitoun is 550, and its total area is about 170 dunums.
