The popular MDR presenter Anja Koebel injured her back in an accident.
On the talk show Riverboat, she explains why it almost went so wrong.
At the beginning of the year, a serious
accident caused
the
MDR presenter
to stir
Now
Anja Koebel
tells
about the
details of the accident
on the
MDR show "Riverboat *"
Her
presenter colleague René Kindermann
saved the
52-year-old
from a fatal
misdiagnosis
.
Dresden
- at the beginning of the year, the accident of the popular
MDR presenter Anja Koebel
(“Sachsenspiegel”)
shocked
the German television landscape.
In the riding stables, the passionate rider was run over by a horse.
The
painful diagnosis
: a
fractured spine
.
But the injury was far worse than first thought.
The Sachsenspiegel
presenter is
now
telling
her colleagues
Jörg Kachelmann
and
Kim Fisher
on the
MDR show Riverboat
.
"Suddenly he really jumps on me head-on out of nowhere!" Says Koebel on the talk show *.
The
presenter
pushed the
600 kilogram
horse
to the ground.
Immediately got
Anja Koebel severe pain
, could barely move and had to leave the
ambulance
to
Dresden
to the
hospital
to be brought.
A
broken tailbone
is wrongly
found here, which would indeed hurt now, but you have to go through it:
a misdiagnosis
that almost came to an
end
.
MDR colleague René Kindermann saved Anja Koebel from a misdiagnosis: "You don't just walk around with a broken spine"
Because it was only through the
persistence of her MDR colleague René Kindermann
that Anja Koebel got the
correct diagnosis
and treatment.
The
moderator
jumped in on a moderation job for the injured colleague and asked a little more precisely: “Are you sure about the diagnosis?”.
Kindermann
asked three times
.
Finally, the
52-year-old
was convinced and went to the
specialist
.
Here the
misdiagnosis
was recognized immediately.
The
45-year-old René Kindermann
had back problems himself and was previously involved in
competitive
sports, which is why he immediately knew a suitable doctor.
And in fact, the
specialist
immediately determined on the same
X-ray
: Instead of the
tailbone
, the spine was broken.
Only thanks to her good
back muscles
and a little luck the
vertebra stayed
straight and the
moderator
narrowly escaped
paraplegia
.
"At that moment I felt really sick again.
You don't just walk
around
with a
broken spine
. ”The
spine was
stabilized
with a corset
and the presenter was sent back to work in
March
.
So
luck in misfortune
and the
MDR presenter
had a very good colleague
.
The
passionate rider does not blame
the
horse
.
"Horses are escape animals" and the animal was just scared.
