Since November last year there has been a letterbox in the Rewe store in Hess Peiting right next to the empties machines.

Customers can insert their return receipts for bottles into these and at the same time donate the monetary value of the BRK readiness Peiting.

Even small amounts can make a big difference.

- Because up until now, the donation of the deposit has raised the proud sum of 629.56 euros.

With this money, the Peitinger Rotkreuzler co-financed a new defibrillator.

"As a result, the old device could be replaced after more than ten years of use in the ambulance service," said a BRK statement.

"Such a device costs around 2000 euros to purchase."

The readiness plans to use further donations to procure equipment and operational clothing.

Thomas Zimmerer, the Peitinger on-call manager, thinks the campaign is a "great thing" and is overwhelmed by the willingness of Rewe customers to donate.

In addition, the willingness Peiting thanks the partner merchants of the store for providing the mailbox in the store and also Karin Hirschvogel (member of the Peiting team) for the organization and maintaining contacts.
