The Elderly Housing Association will launch a two-year "first-line brain health navigation plan", hoping to provide supplementary functions to provide support for the elderly.
The staff of the Association’s Safe Bell Service Hotline Center has completed the relevant training provided by the Hong Kong Dementia Association to support patients with dementia.
The team can provide rapid dementia assessment free of charge in the form of telephone for early detection and follow-up, and refer cases to doctors when necessary.
Existing safety bell users who suspect they have cognitive impairment can also connect to the service hotline center to make an appointment for a quick test.
The association also provides smart watch services that can meet the needs of dementia patients and carers, including a four-positioning system that can accurately detect the whereabouts of users, locate and track and actively call for lost users.
