A recent study from Canada could now serve as an argument.

The work presented at

shows: Wearing masks has a clear effect and reduces the number of

by at least a quarter, and possibly even by almost half.

In Ontario masks were mandated at different times by municipalities and smaller regions for indoor public spaces.

Apparently masks helped reduce spread by about 25%.

Workplace mandates might have further increased effect.

Corona: pandemic in Canada - fewer deaths than the USA
