President Alberto Fernández will be in charge again this Friday of presenting the new phase of preventive and mandatory social isolation (ASPO) against the coronavirus, which has completed 203 days.

Alberto Fernández will announce the continuity of the restrictions from Casa Rosada.

The previous time, on September 18, the details were reported through a video that was broadcast on Twitter and which included pictures on the evolution of the disease and the voice-over of an announcer.

Since that day, confirmed cases of coronavirus have registered a jump of 28.4 percent: they went from 613,658 to 856,369, and the situation became more serious in the interior of the country. 

Prior to the announcement, the president returned to meet virtually with the Buenos Aires governor Axel Kicillof and the head of the Buenos Aires Government, Horacio Rodríguez Larreta, leaders of the Buenos Aires Metropolitan Area (AMBA), where the epidemiological situation is under control.

In this case, the President's announcement will be more focused on the provinces in the interior of the country that currently register the highest number of cases, such as M

endoza, Tucumán, Santa Fe, Córdoba, Neuquén and Tierra del Fuego.

On Thursday, the head of state discussed with the governors of the provinces and the head of the Buenos Aires government the health situation of the country with a view to the new stage that will be announced.

Fernández heard the opinion of the provincial leaders by videoconference from the Olivos Residence, where he was accompanied by the Chief of Staff, Santiago Cafiero;

and the Ministers of Health, Ginés González García, and of the Interior, Eduardo de Pedro.

The meeting was also attended by the Legal and Technical Secretary, Vilma Ibarra, and the Secretary General of the Presidency, Julio Vitobello.

In this morning's report, the Ministry of Health reported a daily average of 13,052 cases of coronavirus in the last seven days, with a mortality rate of 500 people per million inhabitants and a fatality rate of 2.67% of confirmed cases. .

The official report also indicated that there were 15,454 Covid-19 positives that were reported yesterday in Argentina, with an incidence rate of 1,887 per 100,000 inhabitants, 856,369 the total number of infected so far and 4,043 people who they are admitted to intensive care units.
