Today, the Italian Ministry of Health announced the registration of 5,372 new cases of Coronavirus in the past twenty-four hours, the first time that the country has exceeded 5,000 cases since last March.

Reuters reported that Italy recorded 28 deaths in Corona, up from 22 deaths yesterday and 4,458 injuries, the highest daily toll since April 12, bringing the total number of HIV infections across the country to 338,398.

In turn, the Spanish government announced today the activation of the state of emergency to re-impose a general isolation in the Spanish capital, Madrid, and the surrounding areas to stop the outbreak of the new Corona virus in the country.

Reuters reported that "the Spanish government will deploy an additional seven thousand police to help implement the new measures to prevent the spread of the epidemic."

Spain has so far recorded 848,324 cases of Coronavirus, the highest number recorded in Western European countries, and 32,688 deaths from the disease.

Spain's economy, which is heavily dependent on tourism, is expected to contract more than 11 percent this year and experience its worst recession.

Today, the Algerian health authorities announced the registration of 146 new cases of Coronavirus, bringing the total number of infections to 52,804.

According to the Algerian News Agency, the virus monitoring and follow-up committee revealed that 6 new deaths were recorded yesterday, bringing the total number of deaths to 1,789 deaths.

In Tunisia, the National Observatory of Emerging Diseases classified 6 states and 26 authorities as regions with a high risk of spreading the Coronavirus.

The Tunisian newspaper Al-Shorouk quoted the Ministry of Health as saying that the classification includes the states of Ariana, Ben Arous, Tunis, Manouba, Sousse and Monastir.

Today, the Tunisian state of Sousse recorded 119 new cases of Coronavirus, 11 of which were in the medical and paramedical ranks, bringing the total number of injured people since the opening of the borders to 2,927 cases, and 5 deaths were recorded, bringing the total number of deaths to 72, and the number of those leaving quarantine reached 873.

Today, Saudi Arabia recorded 24 deaths and 407 new injuries during the past 24 hours, compared to 25 deaths and 421 injuries the previous day.

This brings the total number of coronavirus infections recorded in Saudi Arabia since the start of the pandemic to 338,539 cases, including 4,996 deaths and 9,261 active cases, of which 859 are critical patients.
