Three Algerian boys, aged 14, 15 and 16, were placed in police custody, then brought before the prosecution Thursday, October 8, following a home-jacking, in Pérols, in Hérault.
These unaccompanied minors were housed by the department in a hotel in Montpellier and looked after by Social Assistance for Children.
These adolescents are already involved in other crimes,

On the night of Tuesday October 6 to Wednesday October 7, around 3:30 a.m., the owners of a villa, aged 60 and 70, on avenue des Levades in Pérols, near Montpellier, dialed 17 to report that individuals had broken into their homes while they were sleeping soundly.
The three minors stole jewelry, a computer and a bank card and then fled behind the wheel of the couple's vehicle.
A frantic chase
Three police officers from the anti-crime squad spotted the stolen vehicle, a recent Dacia Sandero, and followed them.
Despite the orders to stop, the flashing lights and the "

", the miners refused to comply and accelerated on the highway, exceeding 130 km / h.
The police officers accustomed to the place found themselves facing them.
The thieves then engaged in reverse and left quickly on the A709.
After forcing a roadblock installed by the police, the fugitives ended their race by hitting a parked car.
Two of them tried to escape on foot, before being caught by the police.

Arrested all three, they are placed in police custody.
Not very talkative, they claim not to speak French and minimize the facts.
The investigation reveals that these Algerian minors have already committed other crimes.
Two of them made a first home-jacking on September 23 in Pérols, after having stolen the jewelry and the cell phone of the owner of the vehicle.
Their DNA made it possible to identify them.
As for the third, he robbed a pharmacy in Montpellier in November 2019, where he stole 150 euros.
A legal source close to the case tells

that thefts perpetrated by unaccompanied foreign minors from the Maghreb are on the rise every year in Hérault.
Between 15 and 30 unaccompanied foreign minors are also arrested every week for thefts and burglaries in the Montpellier area.
