According to estimates, the big favorites to win are the World Health Organization.

But the organization itself is having a problem because it is reportedly not known at all whether its candidacy was submitted on time.

The corona virus was defined as an epidemic on March 11, and the deadline for this year's nomination was January 31.

Committee members can submit their own proposals only after the first meeting held in February.

As a reminder, the World Health Organization has been harshly criticized by President Trump for handling the outbreak of the epidemic and has even been accused of collaborating with China and hiding information about the outbreak of the virus, and the president has even stopped US funding for the organization.

New Zealand's Prime Minister Jacinda Arden has also been mentioned as another prominent candidate for the award due to her country's success in dealing with the corona virus, but her lack of involvement in major world art undermines experts' chances of winning the award.

Another candidate to pay attention to is climate activist Greta Thonberg, who was also considered a favorite last year but eventually lost the award to Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmad, who worked to establish the reconciliation agreement with Eritrea - after a 20-year conflict.

Another intriguing candidate is Vladimir Putin's rival, Alexei Navalny.

According to the AP news agency, the Russian opposition leader was mentioned as a candidate to win an award.

As you may recall, Navalny was poisoned with the dangerous substance Novitchuk - and managed to survive.

Other leading candidates are the organization "Reputable Black Lives" which brought to public discourse the racism against blacks in the US and in the world in general. The organization came to the global consciousness mainly due to the post-death checks of black man George Floyd by a white policeman.

And what about Netanyahu and Trump?

In light of the peace agreement between the State of Israel and the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain, there have been widespread reports that the US president and prime minister have been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize.

This is not the first time the US president has been nominated for the award when in 2018, after the US-North Korea summit, during which the president met with ruler Kim Jong Un, a Norwegian MP and another member of parliament submitted his name, but as mentioned Did not make the list of finalists.

The candidacy of the Prime Minister of Israel was submitted by an Italian MP named Paolo Grimoldi.

A member of the right-wing Liga party wrote in a tweet on the social network Twitter: "I hope for a double Nobel Prize for Trump and Netanyahu. Now they are both candidates, now it is possible."

I hope for a double #NobelPeacePrize:

Trump-Netanyahu.

Now they are both candidates.

In a separate tweet, Grimoldi explained the reasons for his recommendation of Netanyahu: "I presented Netanyahu's nomination for the Nobel Peace Prize. Why? Historical reasons. "
