Despite criticism from various sectors and from various opposition legislators, the extinction of 109 trusts in Mexico was approved, with resources estimated at US $ 3,000 million.

These resources used to be used for the development of science, technology, research, stimuli to the cinema, education, climate change, protection of human rights defenders and journalists, among other projects.

Now the Senate of Mexico must analyze what was approved and take it to the vote again.
