A second fire broke out in the village of Juwikhat in the western countryside of Homs, after the fire was completely extinguished last night.
Colonel Nawfal Hassan, Assistant Director of Civil Defense in Homs, stated to the SANA reporter that the firefighting teams are dealing with the fire to control it and prevent its spread.
Hala Aboud, a resident of the village, said that the people were cooperating with the firefighters to surround the flames.
The firefighting teams, in cooperation with the people, controlled the fires in the villages of Habanamra, Al-Jawikhat, Burj Al-Maksour, Al-Mazinah, and Wadi Al-Jamous in the western countryside of Homs, while work is still continuing to control the fire in the forest site west of “near Ali” village.
