Two American economists today (Monday) won the Nobel Prize in Economics for innovations in tender theory and inventions of new tender formations, the Royal Academy of Sciences in Sweden announced.
"Tenders are everywhere and they are affecting our daily lives," it was reported.
"The new forms of tender theory are a fine example of how basic research can ultimately produce inventions that benefit the company."
The two will share a cash prize of ten million Swedish kronor - about $ 1.14 million.
The Nobel Prize in Economics, the last to be awarded annually, was not one of the five original prizes created by the industrialist and inventor Alfred Nobel in 1895.
However, the Bank of Sweden created it in 1969.
