The Trump administration is considering sending a joint American-Israeli delegation to Bahrain, in order to start the process of settling ties between the two countries.
This is what Israel Today has learned.

Since the official announcement by Bahrain and Israel that full ties would be established between them, and the signing of a general memorandum of understanding at the White House ceremony, there has been no practical progress in advancing ties.
This is different from the relationship with the United Arab Emirates with which a detailed agreement was signed, an Israeli delegation met with emirate officials in Abu Dhabi and ambassadors from the two countries met with each other in many places in the world.
In addition, Foreign Minister Gabi Ashkenazi met with his emirate from the Emirates, Abdullah Ben Zayed, in Berlin.
The White House also wants to put the ties between Israel and Bahrain on a practical path, and is therefore considering launching an Israeli-American delegation to Manama, similar to the delegation that left for Abu Dhabi about two months ago.
The delegation to Bahrain will probably be headed by US Secretary of the Treasury Steve Manuchin.
This is because President Trump's son-in-law and senior adviser, Jared Kushner, is currently exclusively involved in the US presidential election campaign, which is expected to take place on November 3.
At this stage, no date has been set for the delegation to leave for Bahrain, but this may happen before the US presidential election, which will take place in three weeks.
