The International Monetary Fund (IMF) indicated this Monday that the team that visited Argentina between October 6 and 11 left the country understanding the economic and social difficulties the nation is going through.
This in the context of a health crisis caused by the coronavirus pandemic.
"The team was able to gain a deeper understanding of the policy plans of the authorities to stabilize the economy and put it on a more sustainable and consistent growth path," the IMF said in a statement.

IMF staff met with various cabinet members led by Economy Minister Martín Guzmán.
Other ministers were also present, such as that of Production and Development, and that of Social Development.
The IMF's executive director for Argentina, Sergio Chodos, participated in the discussions.
According to the statement, the IMF team plans to return in mid-November to begin talks on a new program backed by the international body.
IMF
