The day finally came when Diego Schwartzman officially entered the top ten - he is in
eighth place
- in the ATP rankings.
A ranking that, beyond Rafael Nadal's victory over Novak Djokovic at Roland Garros, shows the Serbian with the greatest distance from the Spanish.
The advantage in the classification between the first two increased, since Nadal repeated his result of the previous Parisian Grand Slam, his second home in which he reached 13 titles, and Djokovic improved his performance because from being a semifinalist in 2019 he became a finalist in 2020.
The Belgrade tennis player now has 11,740 points, with a 1,890 advantage over the Balearic.
They are followed with 9,125, not far behind Nadal, Austrian Dominic Thiem, champion in September of the US Open.
The Swiss Roger Federer, whom Nadal equaled on Sunday in number of Grand Slams conquered (20), is fourth with 6,630 units.

The
greatest rise within the top 10
was the work of the Argentine Schwartzman, who with his semifinals in the 'big' Parisian climbed 6 places to be placed as the new number of the classification, with 3,180 points, the highest place of his career.
The '
Peque
' had reached the brick dust of the French capital after being a finalist in the Masters 1000 in Rome, where he fell to Djokovic 7-5, 6-3.
And at Roland Garros he fell in the semis against the steamroller Nadal.
Italian
Jannik Sinner
(49th; up 29 places) and Argentine Federico Coria (86th; climbed 13) starred in two of the biggest rises in the top 100.
Behind them stood out even more the American Sebastian Korda (131 °) and the French Hugo Gaston (157 °), who both rose 82 places this Monday after their good Roland Garros.
