As part of the Dietramszeller village renewal, the next plan was to renovate the through-town.
But the State Building Authority in Weilheim postponed the expansion of State Road 2073 to 2022.
The reason: Local businesses such as the Klosterschänke, which had to accept losses due to the previous road closure and above all the Corona crisis, should not be additionally burdened.

However, this threatens to run out of time.
Because other areas such as the sidewalks, the monastery square and the new village square can only be renovated or renewed after the road construction work.
However, the approval period for the construction work ends on December 31, 2023. In order to meet the deadline, the work “Am Richteranger” with the access to the town hall and the town hall wraparound with access to the town hall cellar are to be brought forward.
This was decided by the local council in its most recent meeting.
Urban planner Rainer Heinz made it clear that time is of the essence.
If the work required in the aforementioned area is to be completed by November 2021, construction work must start no later than June next year.
In order to be able to meet all the associated deadlines, a decision must be made this month whether the measures should be carried out to the proposed extent.
Not all council members were happy about this, some still see considerable need for improvement in the presented concept.
Above all, the partial narrowing of the lane and the parking lot situation at the town hall provided discussion material.
The new plan shows 14 parking spaces at the town hall.
“Eight are missing, we're missing them,” stated Thomas Bachmair.
“That looks good, but the parking situation has not been resolved.
I see that as a small problem. "Mayor Hauser agreed:" People have to be able to drive to the town hall, otherwise it will be difficult for many. "
In addition: Notorious wrong parking is to be prevented in the future.
This is an effect that is to be achieved by reducing the lane width to 3.50 meters.
Not everyone on the committee was enthusiastic about “that we are artificially rejuvenating to avoid illegal parking”.
This, replied city planner Heinz, is beneficial for pedestrians and cyclists.
Michael Häsch pointed out that the legal situation regarding the distance to bicycles has changed in the meantime.
“And we still do 3.50 meters.
Those are arguments that we have to bring in. ”Mayor Hauser saw an advantage:“ I think it's cheaper if it's not that wide.
Then you won't drive as fast. ”However, the town hall chief was also skeptical about the reduced parking spaces.
Finally, the municipal council voted 15: 2 for the construction work to be carried out in the form presented in 2021.
With the same result, urban planner Rainer Heinz was commissioned to “make an alternative plan for more parking spaces”.
