63.3% of Israelis: Donald Trump will be a better president for Israel.
Only 18.8% prefer Joe Biden.
This is according to a survey published tonight (Monday) on the i24NEWS channel.
10.4% responded that the two are equally good for Israel while 3.1% claimed that neither would be good for the State of Israel.
A survey conducted among Israelis by the Direct Falls Research Institute also shows that 50.9% of respondents think that in light of Prime Minister Netanyahu's ties with President Trump, choosing Biden will harm the US-Israel relationship.
In contrast, 43.5% of respondents think that the relationship between the countries does not depend on the president or prime minister who heads them.
This is because the United States is a true friend of the State of Israel and all its presidents work for the Israeli interest regardless of its leader.
5.6% responded that they do not know.
The survey also showed that Israelis are following the presidential race.
87.8% of respondents said they were interested in what was going on in the US election.
Of these, 48.1% answered that they are very interested in them, 39.7% answered that they are interested to some extent while 9% answered that they are not so interested in them.
Only 2.8% responded that they were not interested in the US presidential election at all.
Given the fact that the vast majority of American Jews support the Democratic Party and its presidential candidacy, 48.2% of respondents think that American Jews' support for Democrats is wrong compared to 35.5% who think their support is right.
16.3% responded that they do not know.
The survey also shows that 47% of Israelis think that there is a rift between the Jews of the United States and the State of Israel, but believe that it can be reconciled.
35.3% responded that there is no rupture and that there are legitimate disagreements, and 12.4% responded that there is a significant rupture that cannot be reconciled.
5.3% responded that they do not know.
The sample was conducted by Shlomo Pilber and Tzuriel Sharon through Direct Polls LTD for i24NEWS, on October 6, 2020, using a digital system combined with a panel, among 519 adult respondents (18+) from among the entire population in Israel.
