Another eagerly awaited promise, 15 new care centers for perpetrators of domestic violence should be inaugurated before the end of the year and 15 more should be created in 2021 in order to reach the number of two centers per region.
These centers, designed on the model of the Home of the Rosati in Arras, a pioneer in the care of men perpetrators of domestic violence, will not however be places of life.
Support will be provided in conjunction with associations for professional integration and the fight against recidivism, but the accommodation of violent spouses will be delegated to other operators.
Each structure will be able to manage around 200 - 300 at most - perpetrators of violence per year, in the form of empowerment courses in groups of 10 to 15 people.
"We have received enough applications for these centers and the regional selection committees are in place," said the ministry.
Finally, in a context of recurring criticisms on the financing of the fight against violence against women, Elisabeth Moreno recalls that the budgetary program of her ministry has climbed by 40% for 2021.
