It all started with the Tesla's battery failing.
Then one service faux pas followed another.
Dieter Evenschor has now complained to Tesla in a letter.
Aachen - Anyone who buys used goods whose
warranty period
has not yet expired often feels safe.
But
even that couldn't help
with the used
Tesla X
from retiree Dieter Evenschor.
The website
efahrer.de
published a letter from the pensioner
asking
Tesla
for help.
“I bought a
Tesla
Model X 90D
from a lease.
It had just 36,000 kilometers on the odometer and had driven two years.
Then it stayed with the owner for ten months.
There are
guarantees for the
e-car
, battery and motors.
Because of a defective 12-volt
battery
, the
Model X was
towed to the Tesla service center in Frankfurt and overhauled.
I picked him up there.
It hadn't even been charged.
But that should by no means have been
Tesla's
last service faux pas, ”writes
Evenschor
at the beginning of the letter.
Tesla X: After the repair, Evenschor discovered many more defects
Back in Aachen, where even Choir lives, he put a whole list of 12 other Mängelt certain: the
battery
could not have been fully charged, the
Falcon doors
were moved and so had
paint damage
caused, the leather of the seats suggested wrinkles, seat ventilation, the impaired.
He also found loose panels, rusted and missing screws,
defective
switches and lights.

“What do you do now?
My calls to the
Tesla *
service number
were unsuccessful, ”writes Evenschor.
Tesla service miserable? The promised replacement car is not available
So he tried it on July 30, 2019 in the
Tesla Center in Düsseldorf
and learned that the doors, also known as
Falcon Wings
, are not considered a guarantee, but the other defects are.
After two weeks he finally got an appointment to
repair
the
Falcon wings
: September 23rd.
“'At least one damage will be repaired,' I said happily.
But far from it! ”Writes the Tesla owner.
Three days before the appointment, he learned that
Tesla *
could not provide him with a replacement car after all, because the
Falcon Wings workshop had
forgotten
to add
these costs to the
Tesla
estimate
.
Evenschor booked the replacement car at his own expense in order to still be able to keep the appointment.
I've been driving VW leasing vehicles for 10 years and haven't had to experience anything like the poor pensioner with his @Tesla. Repairs are usually done within a day at my VW workshop.
Workshop available until 7 p.m. https://t.co/CInA4A3lK9

The date for the remaining
repairs
was still a long time coming in September.
Evenschor could not reach the "service master" either by email or by phone.
On the
Tesla emergency hotline
, he found out that all spare parts were actually ready and "just to be on the safe side" received a service appointment.
This should be on October 16, ten weeks after he first contacted
Tesla
.
“And this with a two-year-old
Tesla Model X *
with a new price of 136,000 euros.
From my experience with German premium cars, I know: At BMW or Daimler-Benz, the campaign would have been completed within a week.
What a state of
affairs
at
Tesla
! ”Says Evenschor annoyed.
Tesla conclusion: dozens of flaws and poor service
The collection of the
Tesla
after the
repair was
postponed several times.
In addition, not all
deficiencies
could be rectified.
Tesla recommended
buying
a new
seat
for one and a half thousand euros
.
At this point Evenschor turned the matter over to a lawyer.
“A few days later I
finally
picked up my
Model X.
But I shouldn't have long rest.
Defects occur again and again, which
Tesla
usually
repairs
under
warranty
, ”writes Evenschor.
For example, the right
engine mount
and the entire cable harness were replaced and a plate that was apparently installed at an angle at the factory * was straightened.
"My conclusion:
After four years, 54,000 kilometers, dozens of defects and hundreds of hours of work, my
Model X
is still causing serious problems, ”writes Evenschor.
And asks for an answer and a proposed solution from
Tesla
, because it can't go on like this.
