The Minister of Health of Spain, Salvador Illa, said that he rules out Madrid raising the state of alarm until the accumulated incidence of 500 cases of coronavirus per 100,000 inhabitants is lowered.

"When the criteria are met, the state of alarm is lifted," Illa said.

Spain is very close to reaching 900,000 infected.
