Occupied Jerusalem - SANA

The Israeli occupation authorities continue their arbitrary violations of the right of Palestinian prisoners in their detention sites, striking at the crossroads of international humanitarian law and all calls for the release of prisoner Maher Al-Akhras after he entered his 80th consecutive day of hunger strike.

While the occupation authorities continue to arrest the mute prisoner without any charge or legal justification, despite the deterioration of his health condition that threatens his life, the Palestinian national action factions in Jenin in the West Bank today called on all human consciences to take actual and serious action for his victory, as reported by the Palestinian Wafa agency.

The factions called on the Palestinians in all their whereabouts to take serious action in order to support the mute and put pressure on the occupation to stop its inhuman practices against it and release him immediately after the great decline in his health due to his continuous hunger strike 80 days ago by intensifying the solidarity stands with him and all the prisoners in the occupation detention centers.

In light of these calls, the city of Hebron in the West Bank witnessed today a solidarity stand organized by the “Hebron Defense Committee” in support of the Palestinian prisoners in the Israeli occupation prisons, especially the Mute Prisoner, where the participants called on international humanitarian and human rights institutions to intervene urgently to save his life.

The city of Tulkarm also witnessed a solidarity stand in support of the Palestinian prisoners in the occupation prisons in honor of the spirit of the martyr Samir Hamidi, who has been detained by the occupation authorities for nine days. The martyr Hamidi asserted that his detention is a violation of all international laws and norms and the Geneva Convention.

The solidarity vigils were accompanied by vigils, such as those organized by the Prisoners and Editors Affairs Authority yesterday in the city of Al-Bireh in the West Bank, in which dozens of Palestinians participated in protest against the ongoing Israeli occupation crimes against Palestinian prisoners.

The crimes against humanity pursued by the occupation authorities against the Palestinian prisoners come amid international silence and the helplessness of the concerned international human rights organizations in front of popular and even official appeals, the latest of which was the demand of Palestinian Prime Minister Muhammad Shtayyeh yesterday that the international community urgently intervene to release the mute prisoner and all the prisoners in the occupation prisons while appealing Palestinian Health today, international and humanitarian organizations to urgently intervene.

In the context of the inhuman arbitrary measures, the status of the mute prisoner was not far from the suffering of the rest of his comrades in the detention camps of the occupation. Their communication with the outside world.

These steps will begin, according to a statement by the commission tomorrow, with 40 prisoners entering an open-ended hunger strike in several detention centers, and subsequent payments will gradually follow.

The Israeli occupation authorities persist in their brutal practices and deny the simplest meanings of humanity against the Palestinian people, and what is encouraged by the silence of international organizations about their crimes.
