, Serge Simon, the vice-president of the French Rugby Federation, returned to the agreement reached with the League concerning the provision of French internationals for six matches this fall.
Coach Fabien Galthié and his staff will have only 31 players at a time and none can accumulate more than three match sheets, a real headache.
“To tell the truth, Fabien and his staff had done the calculations before.
What they proposed, they had anticipated, measured.
They projected on this proposal.
Which has drawbacks but also advantages, such as carrying out a larger workforce review.
But this is something they totally thought of ahead of the meeting on Thursday, ”says Serge Simon.
With training of 42 players?
"Yes.
We have prepared modalities so that the training sessions take place at 42 in opposition and at very high intensity.
Players from France 7, young internationals (
the U20 world champions, Editor's note
) will complete the workforce.
There will be no deterioration of the sessions. ”
