The two men were arrested at 6.30 am in the town, said the same source, without wanting to give more details about the people in police custody.
The incidents had started on Saturday shortly before midnight in a sensitive city of Champigny and lasted about an hour.
Two officers had to take shelter in the secure airlock of the police station when the attackers, armed with iron bars and their faces concealed, had arrived, breaking in particular the windows of police vehicles and the glass door of the entrance.
Fireworks mortars had also targeted the building, without causing damage.

President Emmanuel Macron is to receive the police unions this Thursday.
The attack came as the country was reeling from the very violent attack on October 7, which involved two police officers who were beaten up and shot and wounded in Val-d'Oise.
