Earlier, the Department of Law held a rally for the 31st anniversary of June 4th in Victoria Park, and voted against a total of 26 people including the founder of One Media, Li Zhiying, who illegally incited others to participate in an unauthorized assembly. Except for Luo and Zhang, the cases of the remaining defendants will be referred to the District Court on the 3rd of next month, but the courts of the West Kowloon Court will still be used for handling. Each defendant is granted bail on the original conditions.

26 people charged in two batches

The 26 defendants were charged in two batches.

The first 13 persons charged: Stake Chairman Li Cheuk Ren, Vice Chairman He Junren and Zou Xingtong, Secretary Cai Yaochang, Standing Committee Member Zhang Wenguang, Mai Haihua, Yin Zhaojian, Zhao Enlai, Liang Yaozhong and Liang Jinwei, Next Media Group Founder Li Zhiying, Labor Party Chairman Guo Yongjian and Chen Haohuan, deputy convener of the FDC.

They were also accused of illegally inciting others to participate in an unauthorized assembly without legal authority or reasonable excuse in a fountain outside Hong Kong’s Victoria Park on June 4.

Except for Li Zhiying, the other 12 people were charged with knowingly participating in an unauthorized assembly at Victoria Park on the same day. Among them, Li Zhuoren was charged with holding an unauthorized assembly on the same day and at the same place.

The defendant includes multiple district councilors

Another group of defendants was charged with knowingly participating in an unauthorized assembly.

The 13 people include: former Legislative Councillors Leung Kwok-hung, Ho Xiulan, Democratic Party Yang Sen, Hu Zhiwei, Stakes Leung Kwok-wah, Legislative Councillors Chu Kaidi, former Hong Kong Zhifeng Huang Zhifeng, Luo Guancong, Yuen Kawei, Kwun Tong District Councillor Leung Kai-ching, Tsuen Wan District Councillor Cen Aohui, former reporter He Guilan, and former spokesperson for the international affairs delegation of colleges and universities Zhang Kunyang.
