Monique Oliver, ex-wife of Michel Fourniret, confirmed

"the implication"

of the serial killer in the disappearance of Estelle Mouzin in 2003, said the lawyer of the father of the girl after a reconstruction of six o'clock Thursday, October 15 in Guermantes, in Seine-et-Marne.

"We had confirmation by Monique Olivier of the involvement of Michel Fourniret in the disappearance of Estelle"

, in front of her ex-husband

"rolling his eyes to heaven, not supporting the word"

of his ex-wife, declared in front of several journalist Me Didier Seban, lawyer of Eric Mouzin, the father of Estelle.

"We were able to measure the time lost with a weakened Michel Fourniret but who nevertheless remains the pervert that he was in his way of avoiding questions,"

added the lawyer.

“For the most part”

, Michel Fourniret

“confirmed his own confession”

.

According to the lawyer, the serial killer declared to have recognized Estelle, before declaring

"that there are times when it is necessary to silence the emotion which one can have at the sight of such a young girl"

.

"We had Michel Fourniret who recognized Estelle in a photo, indicated that he had met her but refusing to give details on the conditions of her kidnapping and the conditions of her death,"

he said.

The two ex-spouses arrived in Guermantes around 10 p.m., in the middle of a convoy comprising dozens of motorcycles, police cars and two white vans.

Before that, they went

"to the place where Monique Olivier and Michel Fourniret met for the first time during a leave of his first detention"

, explained Monique Olivier's lawyer, Me Richard Delgenes, who has

"found"

the serial killer

"extremely reduced"

.

They then went to the

“scene”

of Michel Fourniret's attempted kidnapping of a young girl also in Guermantes,

“a few days before Estelle's disappearance”

.

Then, they

"retraced Estelle's course from school to the place where we imagine that the disappearance may have taken place, there are ten meters on which we have no details, Michel Fourniret did not explain himself on it, ”

detailed the lawyer.

The reconstruction in front of the bakery where Estelle Mouzin, nine years old, was last seen before her disappearance on January 9, 2003 on her return to school on foot, lasted several tens of minutes, far from journalists placed behind a cordon police station 200 meters away.

According to a police source, 300 police officers were mobilized for the reconstruction.

The whole small suburban town of Seine-et-Marne was blocked Thursday, and seemed emptied of its inhabitants.

This trip was desired by the examining magistrate Sabine Khéris, who resumed the investigation in 2019. The magistrate also planned to go with the two suspects to the Ardennes at the end of the month.

The aim was to rekindle memories of the 78-year-old serial killer, whose convoluted statements and memory problems make it harder for investigators.

After the revelations of his ex-wife, who accused him in January of having raped and killed the child, Michel Fourniret ended up confessing in March his responsibility in the Estelle Mouzin affair:

"I recognize there a being who is no longer there through my fault, ”

he declared to the judge.

He had also considered

"relevant"

the fact that the body of the girl could be in one of his former properties in the Ardennes.

In August, during a new hearing before the examining magistrate, Monique Olivier, 71, had specified that Michel Fourniret had kidnapped, raped and killed Estelle Mouzin in a house, deserted, belonging to her late sister, in Ville- sur-Lumes (Ardennes).

She was indicted for

"complicity"

in the facts.

Nothing filtered from the hearing, a few days later, of Michel Fourniret, indicted since November 2019 for

"kidnapping and forcible confinement followed by death"

in this case.

The partial DNA of Estelle Mouzin was found in two places on a mattress, seized in the house of the Ardennes, where important searches were carried out at the end of June, in vain, to find the corpse of the child.

The investigators also explored without result the castle of Sautou, a former property of the

"ogre des Ardennes"

.

Michel Fourniret is serving an irreducible life sentence, since he was convicted in 2008 of the murders of seven young women or adolescent girls between 1987 and 2001. He was again convicted in 2018 for a heinous murder.
