The police in Bad Reichenhall announced this to dpa on Tuesday (13.10.2020).
The district of Berchtesgadener Land is located in the administrative district of Upper Bavaria, which also includes the state capital Munich * and the independent city of Ingolstadt *.
The family of five was on the way to the
Steiner Alm
in Bavaria and decided - after looking for a route on the navigation device - to
drive down
a forest road
by
car
.
However, this was closed to private vehicles.
At the beginning of the journey the car hit the gravel road, but the
emergency call
was only necessary after a technical defect in the engine.
