Abu Ammar pointed out that the work of paving and asphalting the western road to sector 4, food and medicine, was started in the industrial city of Umm al-Zaytoun to secure the facilities that took off work, at a cost of 23 million pounds in addition to contracting to implement three sanitation projects with a length of about 13 kilometers at a cost of 315 million pounds for the two chemical sectors. Abu Ammar explained that the pace of work in the industrial city is progressing well, as the second phase of the infrastructure works is currently underway.
The area of the current industrial city in Umm al-Zaytun, after expansion, is 756 hectares, according to a comprehensive organizational plan that includes 10 sectors.
