Under the direction of President Bashar Al-Assad, after his tour of the areas affected by the fires and listening to the citizens there, the Ministry of Local Administration and Environment today allocated an amount of two billion and 370 million pounds to the provinces of Lattakia and Tartous to implement service projects in the local administration sector in the affected villages and towns according to the needs and priorities of each village and town.
The Minister of Local Administration and Environment, Engineer Hussein Makhlouf, said in a statement to SANA that after President Bashar Al-Assad's tour of a number of areas affected by the recent fires in the Lattakia and Tartous governorates, and listening to the service needs of citizens there, he directed to allocate 10 million pounds to each affected village, provided that the people of the village choose the project The services they need and consider a priority for them in order to help mitigate the effects of the fires.
Minister Makhlouf explained that according to this, the ministry has allocated one billion and 530 million pounds to the Lattakia governorate, covering 153 villages affected by fires in the governorate, and an amount of 840 million pounds to Tartus governorate, covering 84 affected villages.
He added that the funds were transferred and became in the account of the provinces of Lattakia and Tartous and inform the governors of forming committees to supervise and assist in implementing projects in villages and sectors of administrative units according to the needs and priorities of each village and start working directly, whether it is agricultural roads, sanitation or any other service project that achieves the broadest service for citizens and reduces burdens About them.
