The home of the Dwick Cohen family in the village of Oranim burned down completely during the great fire, which occurred last Friday in the vicinity of the settlement in the Jerusalem mountains.
In front of the charred house where they lived, the 72-year-old Saria, 89-year-old Moshe and their daughter Becky, a single mother caring for a child with special needs, stood helpless.
The father of the family, Moshe, had a stroke about two years ago and is now defined as disabled and uses a wheelchair.
Unlike the other houses in the locality that were damaged by the fire, their house did not have insurance, so the residents of the village of Oranim began raising donations for the family.
According to estimates by professionals commissioned by the residents of the locality, the cost of rebuilding, in addition to alternative housing until the end of construction and re-furnishing the house - amounts to about one and a half million shekels.
Becky described the feelings following the sight of the burnt house.
"We went in the doorway, and we just did not see a living room because everything was burnt. The table, my dad's bed we wanted to be in the middle of the house because he could not talk, everything burned down," she said.
"Everything is sooty. Everything has to be demolished and rebuilt. We have no home left."
She said, "We do not have insurance for the house. The houses next to us were also damaged, but with us the biggest damage."

"The whole village rallied to help. I was overwhelmed. People I don't know donate. The community campaign really moved me."
Tal Marom, a resident of the locality and one of the organizers of the fundraising campaign, said that "from the moment the fire was extinguished and we returned to our homes, the Kfar Ha'oranim community organized to help the families whose homes were damaged, especially the Dwick Cohen family," she said.
"We raise money with the goal of finding alternative housing for the family members until they build a home for them, and of course strive to raise money to build a new home and provide them with all the needs in the meantime."
The community of the village of Oranim launched a donation campaign by contacting the JGIVE organization, which agreed to help them, and within 45 hours more than NIS 1.5 million.
"The community has enlisted the help of the family. We as a supportive community will do everything to bring the smile back to the family's face," Marom added.
"We ask all residents of the State of Israel to open their hearts and contribute as much as they can, even in these difficult days."
Gili Cohen, a resident of the place who also helped run the campaign, also joined in.
"The Devik Cohen family are a lovely family, who went through a very challenging period in recent years and unfortunately last Friday, they lost all their property in a few minutes," she said.
"The community of Kfar Ha'oranim mobilized immediately and we are excited about the achievement. We thank all the donors who opened their hearts and pockets on behalf of the family and continue to offer assistance and help.
