The savings bank in As-Suwayda Governorate is witnessing an increasing turnout of citizens to take advantage of the loans provided by it, in order to contribute to providing the necessary material liquidity for them.
The bank's director, Bassam Al-Saleem, stated in a statement to SANA's correspondent that the loans provided by the bank include low-income people working in the state and military, with a ceiling that was recently raised to two million pounds, retired civilians and military personnel with a ceiling of 500 thousand pounds, and those with scientific professions such as doctors, dentists, pharmacists, veterinarians, engineers and members of the body The teaching staff has a limit of one million pounds and a maximum of 50 million pounds, and free professions with a ceiling of 25 million pounds, in addition to development loans for existing establishments with a ceiling of 50 million pounds.
Al-Saleem explained that low-income loans are based on guarantors from state employees and a repayment period of five years, while the remaining loans require a real estate guarantee and are for free and scientific professions and the same repayment period.
He pointed out that the total loans granted by the bank and his office in the city of Salkhad since the beginning of the current year until the date amounted to about 1696 loans worth about one billion and 415 million pounds, indicating that the increasing demand for loans corresponds to the facilities provided to borrowers in addition to the movement of good deposits that are positively reflected in the lending operations. .
During a meeting with Sana’s correspondent with a number of citizens benefiting from the loans, Maysa Al-Jabr indicated that she is close to repaying her loan that she obtained years ago and is currently encouraged to apply for a new loan in the amount of one million pounds, while Raed Azzam indicated that he will receive a loan of one million pounds to pay off some of his obligations Noting the facilities provided to borrowers.
Dareen Hudayfa expressed her happiness at the speedy completion of the loan transaction that she applied for, while Anam Nassar indicated that she had been approved for a loan of 900,000 pounds in proportion to her salary, stressing its importance to help her university student daughter with her expenses and secure her needs.
Samra Al-Shomari considered that saving loans solve even a small part of the material requirements, especially in these difficult circumstances, and is required to increase their ceilings and provide more facilities during the coming period.
