Armenian President Armen Sarkissian stressed today that the Turkish regime is the main obstacle to any peace settlement in the Nagorno Karabakh region.
Sarkissian said in an interview with the American "CBN" network, as reported by Russia Today, "If Turkey is not taken out of the public context, it will be very difficult to reach a negotiated peace settlement in Karabakh and return to the negotiating table within the Minsk group of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Iraq." Europe, stressing that the Turkish regime is now the biggest obstacle to the peace process, and if this situation continues, it will be a participant in the conflict in the region.
In the same context, the Armenian President expressed in an interview with the British newspaper "The Critic" his disappointment with the position of "NATO", the European Union and the Western countries regarding the conflict in the Karabakh region.
Sarkissian warned that Turkey, a member of NATO, is using the latest NATO weapons in the conflict in the region, which are F-16 aircraft, as well as drones and soldiers without obtaining an authorization from anyone, noting that the United States also does not exert great pressure in this field.
The Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan yesterday called on the United States and France to support Russian efforts to achieve stability in the disputed Nagorno Karabakh region between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
