Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi confirmed that Beijing intends to make more efforts to develop a vaccine against the Coronavirus, give priority to the needs of developing countries, and help countries obtain this vaccine.
The Chinese news agency Xinhua quoted Wang as saying today that the global battle against the disease will not achieve a final victory until all countries are free of it, pointing out that vaccines are "the final weapon in overcoming the disease."
"The international community should cooperate and not each of us fight the virus alone, let alone monopolize resources," Wang added.
The Chinese Foreign Minister affirmed that his country intends to strive to fulfill its commitment towards making vaccines a general global product and to contribute to developing countries' access to vaccines at reasonable prices.
