Greece recorded 508 new infections with the new Corona virus today, surpassing the barrier of 500 cases for the first time, according to the country's local health authorities.
Reuters quoted the Greek epidemiologist Gikas Majorkinis as saying: “We recorded for the first time more than 500 cases of Coronavirus in one day,” warning that low temperatures may lead to an upset of balance and exacerbate the outbreak of the epidemic.
And the Greek health authorities called on their citizens to use masks and observe the health rules in place to avoid contracting the virus.
Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis announced during a summit of European Union leaders in Brussels that Greece is still among the countries that are doing well in Europe, and conditions are expected to change at any moment if the measures recommended by experts are not adhered to.
