Iran said today (Friday) that electronic services at the country's ports were this week subject to a major cyber attack.
Yesterday the government's information technology organization said two government institutions were attacked this week, without specifying the identity of the targets or attackers.
The second target has not yet been identified.
"Our sworn enemies have been trying for a long time to carry out cyber attacks," a statement from the Ports and Maritime Transport Organization, quoted by the official news agency Tasnim, said.
The statement further said that deterrent measures had been taken to prevent disruption "in the tasks of the organizations".

Abolkam Sadaki, of the Government Information Technology Organization, said several government bodies had shut down Internet services as a precautionary measure following the attack, which he described as "significant and far-reaching".
He said cyberattacks were under investigation.
Iran says it is alert to cyber attacks, which it has previously accused the United States and Israel of carrying out.
In May, it was reported that Israel was responsible for a widespread cyber attack that hit the port of Bender Abbas in southern Iran, in response to Iranian action against Israel's water infrastructure.
The attack on the Iranian port caused severe disruptions.
