Demonstrations will be held across the country today (Saturday) against Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and government corruption, for the 17th week in a row.

As every week, many minds went out to wave black flags in thousands of squares, bridges and intersections from the north to the south of the country.

Dozens of policemen arrived today at Meditech in Holon, to secure demonstrations taking place there for and against Netanyahu.

About 60 fires are present at the scene, most of them protesting against the prime minister.

Later, a demonstration will begin in front of Netanyahu's house in Caesarea, and in Rabin Square in Tel Aviv, a protest will take place over the submarine affair.

In the Prime Minister's residence complex on Balfour Street in Jerusalem, the protest will be renewed after the removal of the restriction on demonstrations one kilometer from the place of residence and in capsules of up to 20 participants.

The black flag movement said that "the hundreds of thousands who leave today will no longer have a government that incites violence against them, which crushes the economy. We will continue the fight and we will win it.

"With the exit from the second quarantine, which further highlights the failures of this government and its leader, we call on you to come and demonstrate, so that the prime minister and his failed government will leave their seats and we will get elected officials who care about the public," the No situation movement said.

The "Prime Minister" movement clarified that the demonstration in front of the prime minister's residence in Jerusalem will take place with extreme care and distance and wearing masks.

"Tonight we return to Balfour after a political closure imposed on the country by a criminal accused, in a cynical and transparent attempt to suppress the protest, on the backs of the collapsing citizens. We are determined and the incitement and violence will not deter us," they said.

The movement again called on the police to increase its presence in demonstration centers around the country following the fear of harming the protesters.

The youth organizations, Komi Israel, The Insults, The Pink Front and We Woke Up, said that "the severe violence against demonstrators is a direct product of the divisive discourse of hatred coming from above. While they drag us into the abyss of despair, we will wave pink flags." Of hope, for a better future for Israeli society. "

What are the demonstrations about?

The demonstrators are protesting against Netanyahu's continued tenure while being charged with crimes, claiming, among other things, that he cannot separate his personal and legal good from his political decisions.

The prime minister is charged with three counts.

In the

1000 case

(the benefit benefits case), Netanyahu is accused of receiving benefits worth about NIS 700,000 from businessmen Arnon Milchen and James Packer, while he served as prime minister.

The main gifts were cigars, champagne packages and jewelry.

In addition, it was alleged that Netanyahu acted in favor of Milchen in three matters, in which the businessman sought his intervention: he approached US Secretary of State John Kerry to extend the businessman's visa, he approached Finance Minister Yair Lapid to extend the exemption. A tax for returning residents, and he worked to promote a merger of "Keshet" and "Reshet" - ostensibly at Milchen's request.

According to the lawsuit, these acts damaged the public service's image and public trust in it.

The 2000 case

(the Netanyahu-Mozes affair) deals with talks between Netanyahu and Yedioth Ahronoth publisher Noni Mozes. In those talks, the two allegedly discussed the benefit of the prime minister's coverage of the Yedioth group, in exchange for imposing restrictions on the newspaper's main competitor - Israel Today. The person who proposed the deal was Mozes, so he is accused of bribery. On the other hand, the ombudsman was also convinced that Netanyahu did not intend to complete the bribe deal, but continued the talks with Mozes to improve his coverage in the Yedioth group, and even took certain actions.
