The acting icon became known in the 40s and 50s for numerous roles in
western

adventure
films.
Even here she worked with superstars such as Glenn Ford, Ronald Reagan and Kirk
Douglas.
Fleming was born in Hollywood in 1923 under the real name Marilyn Louis and was discovered while still at school.
After several smaller film roles, she made her breakthrough in Alfred Hitchcock's psychological thriller "I fight for you" with Ingrid Bergmann in 1945.
Dozens of films followed, including "Tropical Adventure" (1953) and "The Naked Bomb" (1980).
Fleming was gladly cast for the role of the sexy American.
With her red hair, green eyes and light skin, she was also known as the "Queen of Technicolor".
