Palestinian media reported today (Sunday) that the Palestinian Commissioner for Negotiations with Israel on behalf of the Palestinian Authority and the secretary of the PLO organization, Saeb Erekat, was rushed to Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital in Jerusalem after his senior doctor's condition worsened.
Other Palestinian Authority officials told the Al-Hadad newspaper that a request had been made but that it had not yet been approved and Erekat had not yet been transferred to hospital.
According to all reports, the condition of the senior Palestinian official has worsened greatly.
Erekat, who contracted coronary heart disease about two weeks ago, is also in a risk group due to his age but mainly due to the fact that he underwent complex lung transplant surgery in 2014 after contracting pulmonary fibrosis. Erekat underwent the transplant in the United States after his seamanship in the transplant line caused a stir in Israel.
