The Attorney General of the State Attorney's Office, retired Judge David Rosen, today (Sunday) rejected a complaint against the conduct of Adv. Liat Ben-Ari, the Deputy State Attorney, and alleged construction offenses she committed. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, on the same matter.
the complainant, Mr. Aviad Visoly, raised-line arguments, including that Ben Ari was a conflict of interest, since one of the members of the association won a tender to lease plots which also built the house - it Yigal Yanai, an official at "Amidar" who is currently suspected of bribing a contractor.
Wisoli claimed that due to Yanai's role in Amidar, he had the option of approving the construction irregularities in Ben-Ari's house, and on the other hand that she as a tax and economics attorney could decide his case, which is currently awaiting a decision after a hearing.
On the other hand, Ben-Ari replied that she had no connection or acquaintance with Yanai.
According to her, his criminal case is being handled by the Jerusalem District Attorney's Office, and she has not touched or dealt with it at any stage.
In addition, she replied that she had never been a member of the association mentioned in the complaint, and therefore was also not involved in anything related to its management.

The senior prosecutor wrote to Rosen that the complaint, "is based on a night of fabrication, slander and libel, and is part of a large-scale and long-term organization that aims to loosen its grip on everything related to her role as a lawyer."
She further argued that Advocate Wisoli, who had previously filed a similar complaint, "set himself the goal of wasting her time in responding to false complaints he fabricated, for irrelevant motives, and for that purpose, did not resort to raising serious false accusations before the Commission."

Rosen noted, as he also wrote in previous complaints, that the complaint did not concern Ben-Ari's conduct in her role as a lawyer - and despite this, due to the seriousness of the allegations, he examined it.
The commissioner accepted Ben-Ari's answer, dismissed the complaint, and wrote that the allegations against her "depend on restraint, since they are not based on a factual basis."
